Great news, Gibraltar has been added to UK 'green list' of countries and territories for international travel.

Passports & Visas

Passports are required by all visitors to Gibraltar, except EU nationals who are in possession of a valid national identity card. As a general rule, those persons who require a visa for entry into the United Kingdom will also require a separate visa for entry to Gibraltar.
At the passport desk a Gibraltar Borders and Coastguards Agency Officer will ask to see your passport or travel document plus any supporting documentation necessary for your visit.  Please note that your passport or travel document must not expire during your planned visit to Gibraltar.
Your passport is also required should you wish to visit Spain during your stay.

Climate: Summer is dry and warm with an average of 10.5 hours of sunshine per day. The temperature in summer ranges from 27 - 34°C. (Beach weather)
Language: The official language is English, however, Spanish is widely spoken too.

Travel

Gibraltar is accessible by land, sea and air. Direct scheduled air services originate from the UK and Morocco. You can also fly to nearby airports in Spain (Malaga, Jerez or Seville) which are a 1-2 hour journey by road from the rock.

Malaga Airport in nearby Spain is approximately 1hr away from Gibraltar by car. A wider selection of popular airlines from locations across UK and Europe fly here daily. (Ryan air, Easy jet, Jet2, BA, Vueling, Transavia etc). 
You will need to organise transportation by road from Malaga Airport to Gibraltar. Taxis and Hire Cars are available at the airport, and pre-booked shuttle services can be organised to cater for your needs.
Please note shuttles or taxis available from Malaga Airport will take you to the Gibraltar / Spain border. You will then need to cross the border controls (showing your passport) on foot, and make your way to your destination by hailing a taxi, or on foot in Gibraltar.

Blands Travel run an airport shuttle service between Gibraltar and Malaga Airport. The service runs twice daily from Gibraltar and twice daily from Malaga Airport.

By Road

Gibraltar is also accessible via Spain. The land frontier is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and there are no limits on the number of frontier crossings you can make. There is no charge to enter Gibraltar.
By Car - If you are driving to Gibraltar from Spain, take the N340 or the A7 (Cadiz - Malaga highway) and turn off at Junction 119 into the N351 which takes you to La Linea, the border town between Spain and Gibraltar.
